Drinking water for 6,400 people

Drinking water for 6,400 people
The need for safe drinking water remains critical for many communities. Your donations to this project will help fund the installation of two sustainable water purification systems, just as we achieved together in Laos two years ago.
In the Philippines, almost 52% of the population faces problems accessing water and sanitation. Access to drinking water remains unequal across the country, whilst sanitation facilities are often not operational. At €70 for a 20-litre jerrycan of water (5,000 kips), the daily cost is far too high for low-income families.

Whilst people are getting by as best they can, these remain fragile and temporary solutions…
Together with our charity partner working on the ground, we have the opportunity to fund the installation of two water purification systems that will filter the water stored in reservoirs.
In total, this will meet the needs of 6,400 beneficiaries, including 2,700 pupils, as the water fountains are being installed primarily in schools.
