All eyes on Sarah

⚠️ Trigger warning ⚠️

Sarah, aged 13, is suffering from intraocular cancer (retinoblastoma). 

The priority was to remove her affected eye to prevent the cancer from spreading to the other; to enable the eye to be reconstructed, she must first undergo two operations on her cheek, and she also requires orthodontic treatment.

Together, we can support her family, who cannot afford her treatment. Two operations are hopefully scheduled for July 2006:  

• ➡︎ reconstructive surgery on the right upper eyelid and right cheek
• ➡︎ orthognathic surgery of the maxilla, mandible and genium

Sarah’s battle against cancer will be a long one, but she is a strong girl. Let’s not look away!
