Funding education equipment for an orphanage in Setif
Seed feels concerned about education in Africa and wants to support the next generation towards autonomy and its own destiny.
Access to primary education remains quite hard for lots of children because of economic, social, or geographical reasons.
Seed wants to provide sewing machines and equipments for 130 orphans in Sétif. The project also includes a budget for a teacher dedicated to these girls.
In their situation, education is even more important because they often get married and have children young. Without education or any skills, it would be hard to provide for themselves so the risk would be depend from others.
Craftsmanship is a simple solution. Indeed, skills can be passed on from one another in an informal way, and do not imply economical or timing issues, that often lead them to drop out of school and make a living.
Ensuring the possibility to learn a job, such as sewing, will allow them to acquire specific skills which happen to be useful on the labour market. Therefore, these girls will be able to be financially independent, improve their quality of life, and doing so, contribute to the safety and health of their family and community.
