Zakat al-Fitr Fund

➡️ What is Zakat al-Fitr?

It is a donation that Muslims have to do. For the first time, our nonprofit, founded BY donors FOR donors, will distribute it on your behalf to the most vulnerable. The aim is to enable them to celebrate with dignity Eid al-Fitr, the celebration marking the end of Ramadan.

➡️ Who are the beneficiaries?

Fasting people with families who struggle hardly: 

• – in Gaza, living in terrible conditions in tents and under the threat of Israeli bombing
• – on the Chad-Sudan border, where Sudanese refugees have fled the conflicts

➡️ How will Seed distribute?

We plan to start distribution two or three days before the Eid al-Fitr prayer. We have agreed with our charity partner on the amount to be advanced so that it can cover the necessary costs (logistics, etc.).

1. You can make a donation now with the intention of paying your Zakat al-Fitr for yourself and on behalf of your loved ones (people you are responsible for paying it).
2. As usual, once the donation has been made, you will automatically receive a donation receipt by email indicating the total amount paid with the reference “Zakat al-Fitr Fund”
3. After Eid al-Fitr, a report will be published in the “The achievement in image” section of this page, as well as on social media, and will of course be sent individually by email to the 140 donors.

➡️ Why only 140 donors?

This project is much more specific than others because it involves a mandatory donation, so we prefer to set a limited number of donors.  

Together with our families, loved ones and colleagues, let us unite to collect and send our Zakat al-Fitr to some of the world’s most vulnerable people!

➡️ Transparency and trust

Seed is a nonprofit whose founders are the first to donate. From day one, they are committed to covering the organisation’s management costs themselves, which guarantees that 100% of each donor’s contribution goes towards the projects to be funded and nothing else. Our annual accounts are published in the Official Journal (see links on this page).
