Stop period poverty and school drop-out for 260 young girls

All over the world, it’s clear that period poverty leads to girls dropping out of school, especially in marginalized and rural areas such as around Arusha, north-east Tanzania. Taboos, ignorance and misconceptions directly hinder girls’ education. Not to mention the use of inappropriate sanitary protection that can even be harmful for health when you’re poor…

Sewing workshops to make hygiene kits. Together with our charity partner, we can teach 260 young girls to make their own reusable menstrual pads from high-quality absorbent terry cloth.

This project will cover for the manufacture of 1,040 pads that can be washed more than 100 times.

Total budget: €6,000
